Nick Aldis lost the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) World Heavyweight Championship to Cody Rhodes at All In 2018. Speaking to Inside the Ropes, Nick Aldis says he felt a bit betrayed when he found out how well everyone else knew Tony Khan. He felt there were plans for All Elite Wrestling happening then. Ridge Holland has had a wild career trajectory throughout and his next step could be the wildest. Retiring. On last night’s WWE NXT, Ridge Holland announced that he’s stepping away from wrestling. This is leaving many fans wondering if it’s a work or a shoot? I personally am hoping this is a work because I think Ridge has a lot of potential. Is he the greatest in ring wrestler? No. But he’s an athlete and looks like a guy you wouldn’t want to mess with at a bar. Which is essentially what his gimmick has been so far. A big barroom brawler. Maybe this retirement angle will lead to Ridge breaking out of that character. Into a character with more depth. We’ll see if Ridge can do that. That is assuming this is a work. Who knows? Maybe we did see the end of Ridge Holland’s career on last night’s NXT. Give me your thoughts in the comment section below.
