We Have a NEW WWE NXT Champion

This past weekend’s NXT Heatwave delivered one of the most thrilling main events in recent memory, culminating in a surprising and dramatic victory that has reshaped the landscape of NXT. Ethan Page is now the new NXT Champion, a milestone that marks his first championship win in WWE.

The main event was a fatal four-way match featuring Trick Williams, the defending champion, along with Shawn Spears, Je’Von Evans, and Ethan Page. The high-stakes contest was packed with intense action and breathtaking moments, keeping the NXT Universe on the edge of their seats.

In the final minutes of the match, Trick Williams executed his signature move, the “Trick Shot,” on Je’Von Evans, taking him down with a devastating blow. Not stopping there, Williams aimed another “Trick Shot” at Ethan Page, who, in a twist of fate, fell on top of the already downed Evans. This set up a dramatic pinning scenario.

As Williams moved to break up the pin, Shawn Spears, who had been biding his time on the outside, intervened decisively. Spears pulled Williams off at the crucial moment, preventing him from interrupting the pin. This strategic move by Spears ensured that Ethan Page secured the three-count, making him the new NXT Champion.

Ethan Page’s victory is a significant moment in his career, highlighting his perseverance and skill. It also sets the stage for exciting new developments in NXT, as fans eagerly await to see how Page will handle his reign as champion and what challenges lie ahead.

Trick Williams, despite losing the title, demonstrated his resilience and athleticism, proving why he was a formidable champion. With Shawn Spears and Je’Von Evans also showing their mettle, the NXT roster is more competitive than ever.

Stay tuned to The Superkick for more updates and in-depth coverage of Ethan Page’s journey as the NXT Champion and all the latest news from the world of professional wrestling.

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How they bungled this storyline, I’m not ent
