Starks hasn’t wrestled since March 30th’s Collision when he and Big Bill lost to Top Flight’s Dante and Darius Martin. He’s a tremendous talent and you could argue that he should be in the main event scene. A lot of fans thought he’d be in the spot that Swerve Strickland is now. A wrestler who fought his way up from the mid-card to the main-event.
Before his match on March 30th, he last wrestled for the promotion on February 7th when and Big Bill lost the World Tag Team Championships to Sting and Darby Allin. Ricky clearing up his health status only adds to the confusion as to why he’s been used so sparingly over the past few months.
His momentum has greatly cooled off since his feuds with CM Punk and Bryan Danielson. They put him in a make-shift tag team with Big Bill that I was actually a fan of. Although it looks like that won’t be continuing with Big Bill possibly becoming a part of Chris Jericho’s Learning Tree group. It’s time for Ricky to go back as a singles wrestler and hopefully become the true superstar we know he can be.
