Don’t Expect Kevin Owens to Leave WWE Anytime Soon

Kevin Owens has revealed new details on his WWE contract. Owens spoke to The Metro and said that he has nine months left on his current contract.

“I really don’t take anything for granted, I’ve nine months left on my contact, and I don’t know what can happen from here on out. That’s just life. If I’ve learned anything over the last few years, it’s that nothing is guaranteed. I’ve learned that through some very unfortunate events, we’ve lost so many good people that was never expected. That’s just one example of how I do not take anything for granted. How I look at things now."

Would Kevin Owens ever leave WWE? Not likely according to the man himself.

“This has been my home for 10 years and it’s beyond the locker room. There’s some very, very, very special people that work behind the scenes that I’ve become very close with, and I really can’t imagine not seeing them as part of my life.”

Kevin Owens’ best spot is in WWE. He’s been rumoured to leave WWE for All Elite Wrestling for years, given that a lot of his friends work there. While he’d be getting back with some old friends, he’d be leaving a lot of relationships he’s established in WWE behind. I think it’s a no brainer to resign with WWE. I think he’s presented better there than he would be in AEW.

Kevin has technically main-evented two WrestleManias. At WrestleMania 38 in the impromptu main event against “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Then at WrestleMania 39 when he teamed up with life-long friend Sami Zayn to defeat The Usos. Say what you want about wrestling, main eventing WrestleMania is important and there’s only one place you can do it. WWE.

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How they bungled this storyline, I’m not ent

I'm thrilled for him to be in the spot that he's in. Something tells me this won't be the last time he holds gold in WWE.

On Monday, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J and Parker Boudreaux have been released.  In addition to Sean’s announcements, PWInsider reported the release of The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry. PWInsider also notes that AEW is "evaluating their talent roster and making cuts to benefit both the company and the talents."  This is the second time Stu Grayson has been released from the company. Maybe the third time in the future will be the charm.  I wonder what happens to Parker Boudreaux. He has the look of a future World Heavyweight Cha
