Did WWE Overexpose The Big Show?

The Big Show is one of the biggest attractions over the past 25 years in wrestling. But could he have been bigger? The answer is yes according to Jim Ross on Grillin’ JR. JR feels that WWE overexposed Big Show.  "I thought all along that we had kind of mismanaged Big Show. I thought we overexposed him. He was an Andre The Giant like commodity that should have been seen less to mean more, but we just went whole hog on that deal. I thought we overexposed the attraction. You didn’t see Andre getting overexposed. That’s how Big Show should have been booked but he wasn’t.”  -  Jim Ross on Grillin' Jr Sometimes less is more and I don’t think JR’s wrong here. They should have treated Big Show like a mountain that other wrestlers had to conquer, and only the ones ready for him would face him. Instead we got more than a dozen face/heel turns and a lot of comedy. While there were times that he was treated like the dominant attraction he should have been, a lot of the time he was soo

Ricky Starks Clears Up Health Status Following Sporadic AEW Appearances

There’s been rumours that Ricky Starks is injured because he hasn’t been seen on AEW TV over the past month. Ricky went on social media to clear these rumours up and told everyone he isn’t injured.  Starks hasn’t wrestled since March 30th’s Collision when he and Big Bill lost to Top Flight’s Dante and Darius Martin. He’s a tremendous talent and you could argue that he should be in the main event scene. A lot of fans thought he’d be in the spot that Swerve Strickland is now. A wrestler who fought his way up from the mid-card to the main-event.  Before his match on March 30th, he last wrestled for the promotion on February 7th when and Big Bill lost the World Tag Team Championships to Sting and Darby Allin. Ricky clearing up his health status only adds to the confusion as to why he’s been used so sparingly over the past few months.  His momentum has greatly cooled off since his feuds with CM Punk and Bryan Danielson. They put him in a make-shift tag team with Big Bill that I was act

Shawn Michaels Invites Drake and Kendrick Lamar to NXT

Could we see Drake and Kendrick Lamar settle their beef in WWE? Drake and Kendrick Lamar has become the biggest and most talked about rivalry in entertainment. The two rappers have released diss tracks over the past week, making personal digs and accusations against each other. Head of WWE NXT Shawn Michaels hopped on X to invite the two to NXT. With Shawn offering to be mediate the session.  There is no way on earth this happens. Not in NXT, nor the main roster. I love that Shawn laid out an invitation to them though. It’s a great way to get WWE involved in the rap beef that everyone’s talking about.  Could you imagine the ratings if they could get them though? I think you’d need legitimate armed security after some of the vicious insults Drake and Kendrick have thrown each others’ way.

Matt Hardy Feels He'll End Career in WWE

Matt Hardy thinks WWE is where he will end his career. Matt Hardy spoke about his free agency on his The Extreme Life podcast. Matt says he’s still interested in rejoining in AEW but ultimately feels that WWE is where he ends his career.  Matt had this to say on his show.  "I must say, if things worked out, I feel like in a perfect world AEW would be the best option because I have the best schedule. And I'm allowed to still do stuff outside of AEW, which I really enjoy. There's a lot of projects that myself, my wife and family, we're really interested in working on. WWE is where I feel like I will ultimately end my career and do a Hall of Fame bid. We'll figure out what happens there. So I do have a lot of love for them. It's hard not to because without WWE, I wouldn't have this nice life that I have now. They have afforded me many, many great opportunities, so I'll always be grateful for them.”  I’m hoping for a final run for The Hardy Boyz in WW

May 7th in Wrestling History: Ric Flair Beats Ricky Steamboat in Final Match of 1989 Trilogy

May 7th, 1989, Nashville, Tennessee - a date etched in wrestling history as the climax of one of the greatest trilogies ever witnessed in the squared circle. Ric Flair, the Nature Boy, clashed with Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat in the epic culmination of their feud for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleWar '89: Music City Showdown. As we approach the 35th anniversary of this iconic event, let's take a trip down memory lane and revisit the magic of that unforgettable night. The stage was set at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium, pulsating with anticipation as two titans of the ring prepared to do battle once more. Flair and Steamboat had already engaged in two classic encounters earlier that year, each match raising the bar of excellence in professional wrestling. Their rivalry had captivated audiences with its blend of athleticism, technical prowess, and dramatic storytelling, earning widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike. Theirs was a rivalr

Dijak Says He Had the Most Important Conversations of His Career with CM Punk

Recent main roster call up Dijak says that he had one of the most important conversations of his career with CM Punk. Punk travelled to NXT after his WWE return last year to give the younger wrestlers advice and check out the product. According to Dijak, his talk with Punk left quite an impact on him.  “For whatever reason, CM Punk was there and we had talked before, I’d asked him for feedback on the Iron Survivor challenge, so we had a bit of a rapport at that point even though it had only been a couple of days. He came over to me and he talked to me and calmed me down and said that we’ll talk about the match after I get my head taken care of and stuff like that. I talked to him after and I don’t know if he remembers this, but after that, we had the most important conversation that I’ve ever had in my professional wrestling career where he just gave me advice on what he thinks it takes to succeed, maybe in pro wrestling in general but specifically WWE. It’s something that I had though

Don’t Expect Kevin Owens to Leave WWE Anytime Soon

Kevin Owens has revealed new details on his WWE contract. Owens spoke to The Metro and said that he has nine months left on his current contract.  “I really don’t take anything for granted, I’ve nine months left on my contact, and I don’t know what can happen from here on out. That’s just life. If I’ve learned anything over the last few years, it’s that nothing is guaranteed. I’ve learned that through some very unfortunate events, we’ve lost so many good people that was never  expected. That’s just one example of how I do not take anything for granted. How I look at things now." Would Kevin Owens ever leave WWE? Not likely according to the man himself.  “This has been my home for 10 years and it’s beyond the locker room. There’s some very, very, very special people that work behind the scenes that I’ve become very close with, and I really can’t imagine not seeing them as part of my life.” Kevin Owens’ best spot is in WWE. He’s been rumoured to leave WWE for All Elite Wrestling for

The Rumoured Names For New WWE Stable

It sounds like we’re getting a new stable in WWE. We’ve been getting glitches, QR codes and several teases over the past month. According to a new report by PW Insider, this is leading to a new stable based on the “Bray Wyatt” universe.   The rumoured names are Bo Dallas, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, Erick Rowan and Nikki Cross. None of these wrestlers are strangers to the occult.  I’m a big fan of stables and have been wanting a stable like this for a while. I wonder if this was the plan before Bray Wyatt got sick and later sadly passed away. We’ve seen Bo Dallas on TV before as “Uncle Howdy” during Bray Wyatt’s 2022 return to WWE run.  What do you think about the names? When will the rumoured group reveal themselves? Some people thought we’d get an appearance at Backlash on Saturday but we didn’t. The show went off without a hitch, nor glitch.

Tony Khan Claps Back at Goldberg

I talked about Bill Goldberg saying he has no interest in going to All Elite Wrestling because of the presentation of their product. Goldberg appeared on Lincoln's 93.7 The Ticket and spoke about AEW calling the product too cheesy. Tony Khan is now clapping back at the legendary free agent wrestler. Tony appeared on The Superstar Crossover and gave his thoughts on Goldberg's comments.  " Bill wanted to work here! I met with Bill several times. Bill was looking to work here.  It's funny because I had a bunch of really nice meetings with Bill and would have honestly been interested in doing something. Since you brought it up, I have a lot of respect for Bill but I was surprised by that because certainly that wasn't what he said to me when he was talking to me about maybe working here at some point, which I've always been open to and I really like Bill. It's all about timing and we're doing a lot of exciting things here right now."  Despite Goldber
