Matt Reveals He's Talked With TNA Wrestling

Where could we see Matt Riddle show up next? We've seen him show up in Major League Wrestling as well as New Japan Pro Wrestling? Could we see him show up in TNA? The former WWE United States Champion spoke to Sunday Night's Main Event and revealed that he's spoken to TNA Wrestling.

Matt Riddle said:

"So, after the 90 days and during the 90 days I was setting some dates up. And I talked to some places, I've talked to TNA, I work with New Japan, I talked with MLW and we do film for TV but it's not the same as Monday Night Raw. Three hours live, anything can happen, people are changing the script here and there, hey you have ten minutes for your match, now you have five minutes... it's extremely stressful.

Now, I like the pressure but at the same time, I kind of wanted a little break from all that. So that kind of shows where I'm working now. I'm choosing places that are more pay-per-view based where I don't have to worry about going to a commercial so we get that Fritos advertisement. Now I just get to do my body of work."

Where would you like to see Matt Riddle show up next? He's as talented as he is controversial. You have people that would be excited if he shows up in their favourite promotion. But you also have others who would cry out on social media and threaten to stop watching the promotion.

I personally think he keeps doing what he's doing. Making appearances for MLW and NJPW when he can. If NJPW wants to reinvest in the US market, Matt Riddle wouldn't be a bad candidate as the #1.

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How they bungled this storyline, I’m not ent

I'm thrilled for him to be in the spot that he's in. Something tells me this won't be the last time he holds gold in WWE.

On Monday, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J and Parker Boudreaux have been released.  In addition to Sean’s announcements, PWInsider reported the release of The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry. PWInsider also notes that AEW is "evaluating their talent roster and making cuts to benefit both the company and the talents."  This is the second time Stu Grayson has been released from the company. Maybe the third time in the future will be the charm.  I wonder what happens to Parker Boudreaux. He has the look of a future World Heavyweight Cha
