Sammy Guevara Not Cleared to Wrestle on Dynamite This Week

Sammy Guevara announced on Twitter today that he isn’t cleared to wrestle on this week’s AEW Dynamite from Rosenberg, Texas. Guevara is from Houston, which is around 45 minutes away from Rosenberg. Guevara expressed his displeasure with not being able to wrestle in front of his home-town crowd.

The 3-Time TNT Champion still isn’t cleared from a concussion he suffered at WrestleDream earlier in the month. Guevara suffered the injury in the trios match in which he teamed up with Konosuke Takeshita and Will Ospreay to beat Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi.

As much as the fans may want to see Guevara, his health comes first and concussions are nothing to mess around with. I’d rather see him heal up, and then he’ll be able to wrestle the next time they come to the area.

New NXT Champion Ethan Page Gets His Side Plates

Ethan Page shocked the world when he won the NXT Championship last night at Heatwave. Well, I should say he stole the Title. You can check out more details here . Several AEW Releases Reported

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported on Monday that announcer Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J, and Parker Boudreaux have been cut from the roster. PWInsider additionally reported that The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry have also been released. We have word on several All Elite Wrestling releases. On Monday, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J and Parker Boudreaux have been released. In addition to Sean’s announcements, PWInsider reported the release of The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry. PWInsider also notes that AEW is "evaluating their talent roster and making cuts to benefit both the company and the talents." This is the second time Stu Grayson has been released from the company.
