Big Update on WWE/UFC Merger

We have an update on the WWE and UFC merger. In April it was announced that Endeavor, the parent company of UFC bought WWE. On their Q2 earnings call, the Endevaor announced their acquisition of WWE is expected to be completed in September.

The two companies will be merged into one public company called TKO Group Holdings Inc.

When the acquisition is fully completed, will we see some more crossover between WWE and UFC? Endeavor has kept them separate so far outside of the occasional WWE appearance at a UFC show.

I think we’ll see some cross-promotion but it won’t be anything like Otis fighting in the UFC Heavyweight division. Or Jon Jones facing Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania. We could see some UFC and WWE personalities jump between the promotions for special occasions. Who wouldn’t love to hear Michael Cole doing some MMA analysis?
