Is Cameron Grimes Being Called up to the Main Roster?

Will Cameron Grimes be called up to the main roster with the WWE draft? Grimes has been making waves in the WWE NXT brand. With the WWE draft starting this week on Smackdown, many fans are wondering whether Grimes will be called up to the main roster. Some argue that it’s long overdue for Grimes who has certainly paid his dues to get to where he is.

Here’s a look at his potential journey to the big leagues. Grimes started his wrestling career in 2009, primarily working on the independent circuit as Trevor Lee. Lee famously was trained by The Hardy Boyz. He’s from the area. Following appearances in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, he joined Impact Wrestling where he enjoyed national success. He gained popularity with fans for his charismatic personality and impressive in-ring skills. In 2019, he signed with WWE and began competing in NXT.

In NXT, Grimes quickly established himself as a fan favorite, with his eccentric personality and southern charm. He has also proven himself to be an exceptional wrestler, with an impressive move set and a fearless attitude in the ring. Grimes has been involved in several high-profile feuds in NXT, including battles with LA Knight and former NXT Champion, Bron Breakker.

Grimes would be a great addition to either Raw or Smackdown’s mid-card. There’s definitely a role for him on the main roster and I fully expect him to get called up this week or next.

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How they bungled this storyline, I’m not ent

I'm thrilled for him to be in the spot that he's in. Something tells me this won't be the last time he holds gold in WWE.
