The 2023 Royal Rumble Did a Massive Rating

This past Royal Rumble did a massive viewer number. According to Andrew Zarian   from the Wrestling Overser, the Royal Rumble got close to reaching 2 million viewers, which would make it the most watched Royal Rumble ever.   The event saw Roman Reigns retaining the Undisputed WWE Universal Title over Kevin Owens in the main event. It also saw Cody Rhodes win the Men’s Rumble match and Rhea Ripley win the Women’s Rumble.  2 million viewers is more than Raw usually gets. The Royal Rumble getting more viewers than Monday Night Raw was once unfathomable. But with Peacock being in more people’s homes, it’s easier and more affordable to watch a premium WWE show now. The Royal Rumble has been a staple of WWE programming for decades, and it continues to be one of the company's most popular events. The increased viewership for this year's Royal Rumble can be attributed to a number of factors, including the growing popularity of WWE and the high level of excitement surrounding this

Rhea Ripley Announced Who She'll Be Facing at Wrestlemania

The wrestling world was buzzing on last night's Monday Night Raw as Rhea Ripley, one of WWE's rising stars, announced that she will face Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania. This match has been highly anticipated by fans, as both women are known for their in-ring prowess and their ability to put on unforgettable matches. Rhea Ripley has made her mark on the industry since debuting on the main roster back in 2020. She’s a very popular wrestler with a great look, good mic skills and great technical skill. Rhea is arguably the most entertaining she’s ever been as Dominik Mysterio’s Mami.  Charlotte Flair, on the other hand, is a seasoned veteran of the squared circle, with a long list of accolades to her name. She's a multi-time champion and one of the most dominant female superstars in WWE history, and her match against Rhea Ripley promises to be an unforgettable showdown. The two previously faced off at Wrestlemania 36. Flair picked up the win and won the NXT Women’s Title

Rick Boogs Is Back on WWE Raw

Last night's Monday Night Raw saw the return of Rick Boogs, one of the most beloved new wrestlers in WWE. Boogs had been out of action since last year's Wrestlemania, due to injury. He’s now back as a member of the Raw roster and will look to pickup where he left off. In his comeback match, Rick faced off against The Miz, one of WWE's top heels. It was a quick match and served its purpose to get Rick Boogs back in front of audiences. Since he debuted on the main roster as Shinsuke Nakamura’s guitarist, he’s shown improvement and an ability to connect with the crowd.  Rick's return to the ring was a welcome sight for fans, who have been eagerly waiting to see him back in action. We hadn’t heard much about Boogs since he suffered a torn quadriceps/patellar tendon injury at Wrestlemania last year.  The return of Rick Boogs is a major boost for WWE. Boogs is a fresh face for fans to sink their teeth into and get behind. He's sure to bring excitement and energy to

Bray Wyatt Says "The Fiend" Character Is Dead

Lots of wrestlers are doing interviews with wrestling and non-wrestling media ahead of the Royal Rumble. Bray Wyatt spoke to Ryan Satin and gave his thoughts on The Fiend character ahead of the Royal Rumble tomorrow. Bray said that the Fiend character is dead. This is just Bray Wyatt, man. Do you think we’ll see Bray undertake another a character? Or will he go on as just Bray Wyatt? “The Fiend died that day in Tampa, Florida at WrestleMania to me. And again, The Fiend is not just a goof in a mask like people think. That’s just ridiculous. To me, it’s so much more and what you see, where all these things come from, you know, or how they sculpt me or how they molded me as a human being. But he died that day to me and it could never be again. It’s gone.” Let me know your thoughts on Bray Wyatt saying The Fiend has died. I    I dug it. The character     was super over with fans and sold a ton of merch. I think Bray could be successful without any over the top character. I think Bray, the

REMEMBER WHEN: Diesel Returned to WWE At The 2011 Royal Rumble

The 2011 Royal Rumble was already shaping up to be an exciting event, with a strong lineup of wrestlers and a highly-anticipated main event. But it reached a whole new level of excitement when Diesel AKA Kevin Nash, made a surprise return to WWE. Diesel was a major player in the wrestling world during the 1990s, and his return at the 2011 Royal Rumble was met with cheers and excitement from the fans in attendance. He was one of the most popular and charismatic wrestlers of his era, and his return to the ring was a moment that many fans had been waiting for. Nash was working for TNA Wrestling at the time. He had a long tenure there and was geared up for a run with the Main Event Mafia according to reports. Diesel entered the match at #32 and was eliminated by Wade Barrett. Nash returned under the Diesel moniker complete with dyed brown hair.  The return of Diesel at the 2011 Royal Rumble was a moment that will be remembered for years to come. It was a reminder of the excitement

I Think Big Bill Has a Main Event Babyface Run In Him

All Elite Wrestling has a wealth of talented wrestlers on its roster, but one that stands out as someone who should be used more prominently is Big Bill, formerly known as Big Cass in WWE. He has the potential to be a main event babyface, and AEW should push him in that direction. Big Bill is a towering figure at 7 feet tall and has the size and strength to match. He is also a skilled wrestler, with a diverse move set that includes both power moves and high-flying maneuvers. He has a compelling presence in the ring and a charismatic personality that connects with the audience. One of the keys to Big Bill's success as a main event babyface is his ability to connect with the audience. He has a relatable backstory and a likeable personality that fans can get behind. He also has a strong work ethic and a willingness to put in the time and effort to improve his craft. In addition to his in-ring abilities, Big Bill has the potential to be a top draw for AEW. He has a significant fa

The Latest on Britt Baker's Injury

We have an update on Britt Baker's injury and she isn't expected to be out for long. Last night's match between Toni Storm and Ruby Soho was supposed to be a triple threat match including Britt Baker. However, AEW announced earlier in the day that Britt got hurt and wouldn't be able to wrestle the match. A triple threat was turned into a 1-on-1.  On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shed some light on Baker's injury. Meltzer said: "Britt had an injury. The way it was described to me, and I don't know what the injury was, is that she is not hurt badly and she possibly could have wrestled but it would have been a bad idea for her to wrestle.  I heard it wasn't serious." I figured if it was a bigger issue, we would have heard more at the time about the injury. Baker's had her issues with injuries in the past so it sounds like this was a precaution in case. Were you hoping to see Britt Baker wrestle last night on Dynamite? I'm happy that

Power Slap is Insane

If you've stuck around after AEW Dynamite the past couple of weeks, you've seen Dana White's Power Slap . It's kind of like the opposite of wrestling. Guy's actually hitting each other and splitting each other open for real. No real showmen. Very opposite of how pro wrestling is.  Power slapping is a sport that involves participants slapping each other with all their strength until one person is knocked out or unable to continue. It has been compared to a combination of martial arts, boxing, and wrestling. The objective of the game is to deliver the most powerful slap to the opponent, and the winner is the one who is able to deliver the most powerful slap. Many people are outraged by the violent nature of the power slap league, claiming that it promotes aggression and violence. Critics argue that the sport is dangerous and could lead to serious injuries, both physically and emotionally. They also argue that the power slap league sends the wrong message to young peop

Triple H has Great Things To Say About Austin Theory

Triple H, the Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative for WWE, recently sat down with ESPN to discuss the upcoming Royal Rumble event. During the interview, Triple H was asked about up-and-coming wrestler, Austin Theory, and his thoughts on the young athlete's potential in the industry. Triple H praised Theory, stating that he is a great athlete with a lot of charisma and personality. He went on to say that he believes Theory has all the potential to be one of the biggest stars in the business. However, Triple H also acknowledged that it is ultimately up to Theory to determine his own success, stating "a lot of that is up to him now." Triple H also highlighted Theory's ability to adapt his game and improve his skills, saying "He listens to the crowd, he listens to the people. He sees all the stuff that’s going on, and he adapts his game on a regular basis." This ability to listen and learn is crucial for any wrestler looking to make a na

Kevin Owens Gives His Thoughts on Potential WWE Sale

In a recent interview with the San Antonio Express-News, WWE Superstar Kevin Owens shared his thoughts on the potential sale of the company. When asked about the rumors of a sale, Owens stated, "The internet will say what the internet will say, and then the reality will be what really matters. We just care about what we do in the ring. That’s what we try to do our best at." It's clear from Owens' statement that he is not concerned with the rumors and speculation surrounding a potential sale of the company. Instead, he is focused on his performance in the ring and putting on the best show possible for the fans. This mindset is not uncommon among professional wrestlers, who are often known for their dedication and commitment to their craft. Despite the constant rumors and changes within the industry, they continue to push forward and deliver thrilling performances for the fans. It's also worth noting that a sale of the company, if it were to happen, would likely hav

OPINION: Warner Media Should Have Never Barred The Briscoes From Their Programming

Yesterday, Tony Khan announced on Twitter that Mark Briscoe will be making his AEW debut tonight. He’ll be taking on Jay Lethal in a match to honour their late brother/friend, Jay Briscoe. Dave Meltzer’s been reporting for months now that Warner Media wouldn’t allow the Briscoe Brothers on TBS and TNT due to a homophobic tweet made by Jay Briscoe years ago.   Last week, Jay Briscoe passed away. It shook the wrestling world and took away a father from a family. It was a terrible accident and everyone terribly misses Jay. Jay and Mark wrestled as The Briscoe Brothers for Ring of Honor, the company that’s now owned by Tony Khan. When ROH was acquired by AEW, many of the brand’s wrestlers appeared on the show in an effort to build familiarity with the national audience. Two names missing from Dynamite and Rampage? The Briscoes. Because of a Tweet made years ago, Warner Media reportedly didn’t want to use the brothers. Which I think is insane, considering AEW regularly promotes Sammy Gu

MMA: Details on Luke Rockhold's Contract Expiring with UFC

Luke Rockhold, former UFC Middleweight champion, has recently been released from the organization and is now a free agent. This news has sparked speculation about his next move, as Rockhold is reportedly planning to unretire and continue his fighting career. Rockhold's MMA career has been a successful one, with notable wins over notable fighters such as Chris Weidman, Lyoto Machida, and David Branch. He won the Middleweight title in 2015 and had a successful title defense before losing it in 2016.  With Rockhold now a free agent, the question on many fans' minds is where he will go next. One possibility is Bellator MMA, which has a strong Middleweight division and has been known for signing top free agents from other promotions. Another possibility is the Professional Fighters League (PFL), which has been gaining popularity in recent years and could be an attractive option for Rockhold. Additionally, ONE Championship could be a good fit for Rockhold as well. The organizat
