Goldberg Reportedly Still a Free Agent

It's been the talk of the wrestling world for the past several months: will Goldberg be signing a new contract with WWE? According to sources close to the situation, the answer seems to be no.

According to Fightful Select, a website that covers wrestling news and rumors, they have not heard anything about Goldberg signing a new deal with WWE. This news will likely come as a surprise to many fans, as Goldberg has been a mainstay in WWE for the past several years.

So what does this mean for the future of Goldberg in WWE? It's hard to say at this point, as negotiations between wrestlers and the company are often kept private. However, it's possible that Goldberg may be looking to explore other opportunities outside of WWE.

The last time we saw Goldberg wrestle was in Saudi Arabia against Roman Reigns earlier in the year. The former undefeated WCW star made his return to WWE in late 2016 and has been a welcome addition to the roster. Say what you want about Bill Goldberg, he does add credibility to a wrestling show.

At this point, it's unclear what the future holds for Goldberg in WWE. However, one thing is certain: the wrestling world will be watching closely to see what happens next.

Let me know if you want to see Goldberg return to WWE. Raw is tonight and he’s been known to show up there. I doubt he’ll see him tonight especially with news about him not signing a deal. Follow along for coverage going into Monday Night Raw on Twitter and more.

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How they bungled this storyline, I’m not ent

I'm thrilled for him to be in the spot that he's in. Something tells me this won't be the last time he holds gold in WWE.

PWInsider also notes that AEW is "evaluating their talent roster and making cuts to benefit both the company and the talents."  This is the second time Stu Grayson has been released from the company. Maybe the third time in the future will be the charm.  I wonder what happens to Parker Boudreaux. He has the look of a future World Heavyweight Cha
